CHICAGO BOTANIC GARDEN | STRATEGY, UX & UI DESIGN
A USER FOCUSED CHECKOUT & MEMBERSHIP PROCESS
Chicago Botanic Garden had a lengthy and cumbersome checkout process that didn't clearly capture roster data, checkout steps, or validate Membership accounts. I created users flows to distinguish the three main site visitors: Member, non-Member, and authorized Account, which allowed me to validate new checkout flows and how the process would change for each visitor type.
CHECKOUT, MEMBERSHIP & DONATION WIREFRAME FLOWS
I created a comprehensive set of wires that detailed each visitor flow which allowed our developers to configure the API to capture each step of the new process. I introduced new features that met business objectives of a persistent cart that stored all order items no matter where you ventured on the site, interstitial up-sells for driving Membership purchases, and the ability to add items to your roster data such as child lunch plans were just a few of the new integrations implemented for the checkout process.
CHECKOUT, MEMBERSHIP & DONATION WIREFRAME FLOWS
I created a detailed UI kit following and expanding off of the current website branding, of all the cart components to define a clear structure to page content, hierarchy, and flow to provide a consistent user experience for the purchasing process of class, camps and events that was lacking before.
